Looking GlassCorvette Club

The LookingGlass Corvette Club was started in 1976 as LookingGlass Corvettes by a group of Corvette enthusiasts from Highland, Illinois. The club has since changed its name to LookingGlass Corvette Club. Some of the founding charter members are still in the club (Pokie and Suzie Wildhaber and Dwight Faitz Sr.). The club is primarily a social club but some members do also participate in activities such as car shows, competitive driving events, and group trips. As of the beginning of 2021 there are 206 member families in the club. The club bylaws state a member (family) consists of a member and up to one additional person / life partner living in the same household.

The requirements to become a member of the club include, first and foremost you must own a Corvette, you must pay dues, and be accepted (voted in) by the membership at a meeting. There is also a one time installation fee of $15 (this is waived for active military members). The annual dues (currently $30) are prorated for new members by month thru the end of the calendar year. If interested in joining, please contact the President (Suzie Wildhaber) or one of the other board members. Contact information is available on the Contact Information page.

The club typically meets once a month on the first Thursday of the month. However, with the Covid-19 pandemic causing health concerns, as well as government imposed restrictions, we have not been able to meet in person. We held a “virtual meeting” in February 2021 using video conferencing technologies. The virtual meetings will continue until we are able to again meet in person.
