LookingGlass Corvette Club

The LookingGlass Corvette Club was started in 1976 as LookingGlass Corvettes by a group of Corvette enthusiasts from Highland, Illinois.  Some of the founding charter members are still in the club (Pokie and Suzie Wildhaber and Dwight Faitz Sr.).  The club is primarily a social club but some members do also participate in activities such as car shows, competitive driving events, and group trips. 

The “Purpose” statement in the club bylaws says, “The general purposes of the club shall be to encourage planned trips, events and social activities for members, to provide and regulate events and exhibitions for Corvette owners, and to encourage careful and skillful driving on public highways.” 

The club bylaws also state a membership consists of a member and up to one additional person (spouse or life partner) living in the same household.  We currently have 166 “memberships” in the club.

The requirements to become a member of the club include, first and foremost you must own a Corvette, you must pay dues, and be accepted by the membership at a meeting.  There is also a one-time installation fee of $15 (this is waived for active military members).  The annual dues are prorated for new members, by month, thru the end of the calendar year.  The annual dues amount is only $45.

Starting May 5, 2026, the club meets on the first Tuesday of the month.
